Navigating Tourbox

This page is a short orientation to the Tourbox interface so you know where to find things.

The sidebar

The left sidebar is the primary navigation. Items are grouped by area:

  • Dashboard: KPI overview and activity widgets.
  • Tasks: Your team's task list.
  • Pipeline: Enquiries, Bookings, Customers.
  • Content: Catalogue, Library (Media, Collections, Hub, Doc Intelligence, Templates), Forms, Reference (Places, Tags, Lists).
  • Finance: Customer documents, customer payments, suppliers, supplier documents, supplier payments, bank accounts, currency contracts.
  • Communications: Unified inbox and outbox.
  • Reports: Pre-built reports and custom report builder.
  • Settings: Organisation, members, billing, integrations, email templates, AI.

Items you don't have permission to use are hidden automatically.

The top bar

The top bar contains:

  • The organisation switcher: if you belong to more than one organisation, switch between them here.
  • The global search: search across enquiries, bookings, customers, and content.
  • Quick create shortcuts for common records (new enquiry, new booking, new task).
  • The profile menu: your profile, preferences, and logout.

Most pages show a breadcrumb trail at the top so you always know where you are. Click any segment to jump back up the hierarchy.

List pages

Every record type has a list page (e.g. Enquiries, Bookings, Customer Payments). Lists share a consistent pattern:

  • A search box for free-text search.
  • Filters along the top, by status, tag, owner, date range, etc.
  • A view toggle between list and grid views where applicable.
  • Sortable columns in list view (click a column header to sort).
  • Page size and pagination at the bottom.
  • A primary New button in the top-right.

List preferences (filters, sort, page size, view mode) persist per section for the current session.

Detail pages

Detail pages typically show:

  • A header with the record's title/identifier, status badges, and primary actions.
  • A status stepper for records that follow a lifecycle (enquiries, bookings).
  • Tabs for major sections of the record (e.g. a booking has Overview, Itineraries, Finance, Communications, Files, Passengers, Share, Timeline).
  • A timeline of activity for the record.

Keyboard and shortcuts

Many lists support clicking on a row to open the detail page in the same tab, or using the right-click / middle-click to open in a new tab. Some pages support keyboard navigation through list items.

Themes

Tourbox supports light and dark themes; switch from the profile menu. Theme preference is per user, per device.
