Tasks
Tasks
Tasks are lightweight work items that any member can create, assign, and complete. They keep the small jobs from falling through the cracks (chasing a supplier, calling a customer back, preparing pre-departure documents) alongside the bookings they relate to.
The tasks list
The Tasks page lists every task in your organisation. It has:
- A search box for free-text search across titles and descriptions.
- An assignee filter with quick toggles between My Tasks and All Tasks.
- A status filter: Open, Completed, Cancelled, or Overdue.
- A priority filter: Normal, High, or Urgent.
Columns
- Title: The task name. Clicking opens the task detail page.
- Priority: Normal, High, or Urgent (with colour coding).
- Status: Open, Completed, or Cancelled.
- Due date: When the task is due. Overdue tasks are highlighted in red.
- Assignees: The team members responsible, shown as avatars.
- Complete: A one-click action to mark the task complete from the list.
Columns are sortable by title, priority, due date, and creation date.
Creating a task
Click New Task on the list page. A task has:
- Title (required)
- Description: Optional free-text detail, supports basic formatting.
- Priority: Normal, High, or Urgent.
- Due date and time
- Assignees: One or more team members.
- Related record: Optionally link to a booking, enquiry, or customer.
Tasks created from a booking or enquiry detail page have the related record pre-filled.
Completing and reopening tasks
A task can be marked complete from:
- The complete-action button in the list.
- The task detail page.
- The My Tasks widget on the dashboard.
Completed tasks remain searchable and can be reopened by changing their status back to Open. Cancelled tasks are similar but mark the task as no-longer-relevant rather than done.
Linking tasks to bookings
When a task is linked to a booking or enquiry, it appears under that record's timeline and is included in any list/widget filtered to that record. This is the recommended pattern for operational follow-ups (e.g. "Send pre-departure pack to passengers" linked to a booking).
Preferences
Page size, status filter, and sort order persist for the current session per user.
