Tags
Categorise and filter records across Tourbox.
Tags
Tags are a flexible way to categorise enquiries, bookings, customers, media, and other records. Once a tag is applied, it can be used as a filter on lists and in reports.
Tag categories
Tags are organised into categories so you can build a taxonomy that matches your business. Examples:
- Trip type: Honeymoon, Family, Adventure, Cultural.
- Season: Peak, Shoulder, Off.
- Customer value: VIP, Repeat, Travel Agent.
- Operational: Needs visa, Special diet, Mobility considerations.
Each category has a name and a set of tags inside it.
What tags are applied to
Different entities support different tag categories. By default categories are global and can be applied to all supported entity types, but the UI scopes the picker to relevant categories on each entity.
Managing tags
Under Reference → Tags you can:
- Create, rename, archive, and delete tag categories.
- Add, rename, and archive individual tags within a category.
- Set a colour per tag for visual scanning.
- Reorder tags within a category.
Using tags in reports
Several reports can be grouped or filtered by tag: Enquiry Sources, Customer Insights, Booking Trends, Revenue Overview, and Popular Products.
Tips
- Start small. A handful of well-defined tag categories beats an over-engineered taxonomy.
- Make tags meaningful at a glance: VIP over Cust-Tier-A.
- Archive tags you stop using rather than deleting them. Historical records keep them and remain filterable.
