Document intelligence, AI text generation, semantic search, and chat.

AI Features

Tourbox includes AI capabilities throughout the platform. They're all subject to your plan's usage limits and to the AI provider configured under Settings → AI.

Document Intelligence

Upload a supplier invoice, quote, or receipt (PDF, image, or scan) and have AI extract structured data:

  • The supplier.
  • Document number, issue date, due date.
  • Line items with description and amount.
  • Totals, taxes, and currency.
  • Bank details (if shown on the document).

You review the extraction in a side-by-side view, correct anything wrong, and save the result as a supplier document. Document Intelligence runs are managed under Library → Doc Intelligence.

Text generation

When composing emails, itinerary day descriptions, catalogue item descriptions, and other free-text fields, an inline AI assistant can:

  • Draft from a brief prompt.
  • Rewrite for tone (formal, friendly, concise).
  • Translate to another language.
  • Summarise long content.

Generated text is always reviewable and editable before it's saved.

Semantic search

The Knowledge Base (Hub) and other content areas support semantic search, finding documents by meaning, not just keyword match. Results show a relevance score.

Knowledge chat

Ask the Hub questions in natural language. The chat answers using your organisation's documents and shows the sources it drew from. Useful for onboarding new team members and surfacing knowledge that would otherwise live in someone's head.

Custom report builder

The Custom Reports feature uses AI to translate a natural-language prompt into a structured report. Available on Business plans.

Configuration

Under Settings → AI an admin can:

  • Choose the AI provider (where multiple are supported).
  • View usage against plan limits.
  • Enable or disable specific AI features.
  • Configure data handling preferences.

Data handling

AI features operate within Tourbox's data residency and privacy guarantees. Sensitive customer and supplier data is not used to train models outside your organisation. See your Tourbox account manager for the full data processing terms applicable to your plan.
